The first thing I wanted to do when I arrived in St. Augustine was to take a drive through the city up and down the narrow ally-like streets and take in the sites of all the incredible buildings Flagler College, Lightner Museum, Basilica of St. Augustine, and all of the unique house’s. As I explored the streets of St Augustine I happened upon The Dow Museum Of Historic Houses. This Museum is one city block with nine historic homes. I walked through the scenic courtyards and gardens and went inside a couple of the houses to see the period decor.

St. Augustine has more than enough things to do Forts, Museums, tours of all kinds including ghost tours, I have heard a few stories about them but never been on one myself. I asked around a little and found out about the Haunted Pub Tour, hmm a pack of tourists walking around town from bar to bar getting drunk, sounds like a formula for an interesting time. After I signed up for the Haunted Pub Tour I had enough time to get something to eat.

I was told Harry’s was a good place to get some dinner. April, the bartender was a delight to chat with, she told me that Harry’s was on the Haunted pub tour and everyone always seemed to be having a great time. After getting our tickets and stickers we were off to the first stop everyone hit the bar and went inside to hear our first tale of the night! Sara our tour guide was wonderful she was really into the stories and new a lot of history about each location and St Augustine. It was a really fun group as we went from pub to pub and heard story after story everyone got to know each other and we all had a great time, we even stuck together after the tour and went to a couple of more night spots.
